Our embossers are made from durable steel and high-quality brass. They work best on standard paper weights (like stationery or book pages, up to approx. 80-150 gsm). Desktop models may handle slightly thicker paper, up to 150-250 gsm.

For custom designs, clear, high-contrast, black and white artwork is ideal. Vector files (.AI, .EPS, .SVG) are preferred, or high-resolution bitmap files (.PNG, .JPEG). Yes, you will typically receive a digital proof to approve before production if your design is complex or if we have questions.

When ordering, you can usually select the orientation (e.g., "Top of Page" for letterheads, "Bottom of Page" for envelope flaps, or "Right Side of Page" for bookplates). If unsure, our team can help guide you based on your intended use.

Custom embosser production typically takes 5-7 business days after proof approval. Standard shipping then usually takes about 10-14 business days. Expedited options are often available.

Insert the paper squarely between the embosser plates. Apply firm, even pressure on the handle. The amount of pressure needed can vary slightly by model (handheld vs. desktop), but they are designed for ease of use without excessive force.

Embossers are generally low maintenance. Keep them clean and dry. Store in a safe place to avoid damage to the plates. No special lubrication or cleaning products are typically required for the mechanism.
