Assembling Your Embosser

Step 1

Remove the die plate from the end of the embosser gently.

Step 2

Pinch the die together and inserting into the holder with the circle side facing up.

Step 3

Pinch the die together and make sure the two indents at the bottom of the die snap into the embosser.

Step 4

Place the paper between the die correctly, then press down firmly with the handles.

I’m very happy with the embosser from StamPrints. The engraved brass embossing matrices create a crisp impression of the custom design I uploaded – much sharper and better-formed than the impression created by the plastic embossing surfaces of an embosser I purchased some years ago from a different vendor (using a nearly identical custom design). Our embossers are made from durable steel and high-quality brass. They work best on standard paper weights (like stationery or book pages, up to approx. 120-160 gsm). Desktop models may handle slightly thicker paper, up to 150-200gsm.

What kind of artwork or logo do I need to provide for a custom embosser design? Will I see a proof?

For custom designs, clear, high-contrast, black and white artwork is ideal. Vector files (.AI, .EPS, .SVG) are preferred, or high-resolution bitmap files (.PNG, .JPEG). Yes, you will typically receive a digital proof to approve before production if your design is complex or if we have questions.

How do I specify the orientation for my embosser (e.g., for embossing the top or bottom of a page)?
